inCompass IP was pleased to attend the International Trademark Association (INTA) 2026 Annual Meeting in London, England, held from 2 to 6 May 2026.

The Annual Meeting brought together intellectual property professionals, brand owners, in-house counsel, policymakers and practitioners from around the world. It provided a valuable opportunity for the inCompass IP team to reconnect with international associates, strengthen professional relationships and exchange perspectives on current developments affecting brand protection across jurisdictions.

The programme covered a wide range of topics relevant to businesses operating in an increasingly international and technology-driven environment. Discussions included the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and intellectual property, trade mark enforcement, anti-counterfeiting strategy, global brand expansion, and the broader role of IP professionals in supporting commercial decision-making.

For inCompass IP, the meeting was particularly relevant to our work assisting clients in Hong Kong, Mainland China, the wider Greater China region and the Southeast Asia, as well as clients seeking protection and advice in European, the United States and other overseas markets. The opportunity to engage directly with overseas counsel and IP professionals remains an important part of delivering coordinated, practical and commercially focused advice on international trade mark matters.

The visit also reinforced the importance of maintaining strong international connections in a profession where clients’ brands, products and commercial activities increasingly cross borders. Whether advising on trade mark filing strategies, portfolio management, opposition proceedings, enforcement or transactions involving IP rights, collaboration with trusted practitioners in relevant jurisdictions is essential.
